For tuition and fees alone, George Washington University remains the most expensive in the U.S.–and perhaps the world. However, GWU shields its students from annual tuition hikes, as long as they maintain full-time status. The school is also among the country’s most generous in financial assistance: the average aid award for an incoming student is about $22,500.
